Let’s talk about fashion designers, these geniuses who create, innovate and shape the way we dress.

‘What they create is greater than art because you live your life in it’ – Nigel, The Devil Wears Prada

As much as I love fashion and looking at models wearing the latest trends on the catwalks, it sometimes amazes me how crazy some designs are and often wonder how on earth would someone pull this off in real life? (I’m sure you feel me here!)

So, to make your life easier, I’ve decided to dig out the best trends for Spring and show you how to take it from catwalk to sidewalk…

  1. Stripes

Statement stripes will be a big deal this season, they were at the core presentations of iconic designers such as Proenza Schouler, Rosie Assoulin, Mulberry and Mary Katrantzou.

Go for bold and colourful patterns to make a statement, +1 if you can pull off a second trend at the same time like off shoulder or ruffles!

Top tips: this trend would be particularly suited to jazz up your workwear.

2. Sheer fabric

I absolutely love sheer materials and beyond excited to see it widely showcased on the hottest fashion shows.  I mean, how exciting is it to be able to wear see-through outfits outside the bedroom?

Let’s face it, it is a sexy trend but fear not, done the right way, it can be extremely classy and not borderline vulgar!

Take inspiration from leading designers such as Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Balmain and Christian Dior.

3. The bra-top

Time to work on these abs ladies, the bra-top is back in the spotlight!

As seen on Victoria Beckham,  Altazzura and Alexander Wang’s shows, ultra cropped tops will be your best companion for casual spring looks.
